Bill, you were such a dear friend to my father, Ed Rostron, and his favorite travel buddy. You would always document your adventures together in photographs and send Dad copies with location and dates and who was in the picture. Dad appreciated those photos and now we, his children, enjoy looking at them as well. I will never forget the time you two drove to New Mexico and stopped at my house on your way to Eagle Nest and the mountains. I have especially fond memories of Memorial Day Weekend 2015, when Dad and I came to Upland. You generously opened your home to Dad. I enjoyed our nightly meals together at your favorite diner, time at the Marine Corp. League, and the trip to Ridley Creek State Park. I am grateful I had an opportunity to speak with you a few months ago. You will be greatly missed by my dad, mom, and my brothers and I. We all have such fond memories of you. May you rest in peace.

Bill was one of the good guys, always a gentlemen and one of the last of Boogie’s infamous F Troop. Dad has been gone almost 36 yrs and Bill has always remembered our family during the holidays and special events even with us moving away the last 7 years. I’m sorry that I didn’t know about Bill’s recent health problems and hospitalization. Just another reminder that life is short, precious and we need to take every advantage of reminding friends and family how much we appreciate and love their friendship. Helluva crew up there now. Rev MacQueen has his hands full again. Hope you guys are enjoying Ballantine and Schmidt’s nips.
