Daniel (Dan) M. Finegan, 60, of Aston, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, October 5, 2024, after a long battle with extended health challenges that included Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), a rare neurodegenerative disorder. He was born in Media, Pennsylvania to his late parents Ambrose J. and Marion R. (O'Neill) Finegan. Dan was a lifetime Aston resident. He graduated in 1982 from Sun Valley High School. The majority of his career was in the paper and corrugated industry. Previous employers included International Envelope, Ginsey (Plant Manager), Acme Corrugated Box (Shipping Manager) and Container Research. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He was an avid Philadelphia sports and NASCAR fan. He loved to socialize and was quick to make friends everywhere he went. Dan is survived by one brother, Jim (Jacqui) of Perkasie; four sisters, Anne-Marie Freeland of Chadds Ford, Terri (Terry) Aikens of Martinsburg, WV, Kay Finegan of Aston, and Patty (Joe) Leavens of Thornton, nine nephews and nieces, and several great nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Fair Acres for the care of Dan over the last year and Compassionate Care Hospice for their care during the last week of his life. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 9:30AM to 10:45 AM at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, Pennsylvania, 19014. Funeral Liturgy will follow visitation beginning at 11:00 AM at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home. He will be buried at Peter and Paul Cemetery, 1600 Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA 19064 following Liturgy service.
