Obituary

Alan C. Miller, age 82, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. He was raised in Linden, NJ. He graduated from Linden High School and Rutgers University. Alan resided in Milltown, NJ, Rumson, NJ, and Wayne, PA for 27 years before moving to Garnet Valley 8 years ago. Alan proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1954 to October 1957. He was was self-employed, working in the Manufacturing Industry. He was a member of the Main Line Chamber of Congress, a member of the Free Masons Palestine Lodge #111, in New Brunswick, NJ. Alan loved travelling, distance walking, and was an avid competitor playing bridge. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather enjoying the time had with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.

He was the son of the late Carl Frederick and Echo May (Cain) Miller, brother of the late Freda Rodgers, Margaret Lignori, and Wilamina Saultz.

Survivors: His beloved wife: Elizabeth (Tonge) Margetich Miller. Children: Karen Hanson, Alison VonCzoernig, and Craig Miller. Grandchildren: Danielle and Kelly Miller, and Emma and Brittany VonCzoernig.

Visitation:  Sunday March 10th from 2:00pm-3:00pm at Elam United Methodist Church, 1073 Smithbridge Road, Glen Mills, PA. Memorial Service: Sunday at 3:00 pm at Elam United Methodist Church. Burial: Private. In Lieu of Flowers: Donations may be made to the church or charity of your choice.
