Amy Ann Hughes, age 67, a resident of Garnet Valley passed away April 12, 2021 in Media, PA.

Amy was a graduate of Ridley High School and went on to earn her Bachelor's in Nursing from Immaculata University. She worked as a registered nurse at Lankenau and Riddle Hospitals for 28 years until her retirement in 2018. She earned certifications for the Operating Room and Infection Prevention and attended graduate nursing classes at Villanova University. Amy enjoyed gardening, music, art, and photography. She loved to sing and was never hesitant to compete in amateur singing competitions at her favorite beach location in Ocean City, MD. Amy was a member of Concord Country Club and enjoyed meeting friends there for conversations and many laughs. With her lovely singing voice, a master of various accents, and a wonderful sense of humor, she was always a hit at family functions.

She was the daughter of the late James and Jeanne (Wilbert) Concannon and the daughter-in-law of the late David and Jean Hughes. She was also predeceased by her brother Jimmy Concannon, her sister-in-law Beverly Stanton, and brother-in-law Marvin Miller.

SURVIVORS: Husband: David Hughes; Her Little Dog Ruby; Sisters: Loren Siddons, Margaret Miller, and Mary Hipple; Sister-in-Law: Robin Brady; Brother-in-Laws: Larry Siddons, Steve Brady, and Bruce Stanton; and Nieces and Nephews: Kim Buck, Tom Stanton, Sean Brady, Andrew Siddons, Kelly Brotzman, and Casey Nichols.
