Andrew Joseph Hanobeck Jr., age 76, loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully at his home in Oxford, PA on May 11 , 2022 after a courageous battle .

Andrew , known to his family and friends as " Joe, " was born in Olean , NY and was a graduate of Bishop Neumann High School . He spent his career working at Gulf, Chevron, and Sunoco refineries in Philadelphia as a Head Operator in Crude Processing , retiring after 38 years . He lived in Delaware County for 3 4 years before relocating to Oxford, PA in 200 1 . He was a proud member of the Philadelphia Masonic Lodge and served as Master for one year in 1994. Andrew also served his country from 1965-1971 as a Specialist (SPC-4) in the U . S . Army Reserves , 79 th Infantry Division (Cross of Lorraine) during the Vietnam War. He was stationed in the United S tates working in transportation, driving trucks, and fixing military equipment. During retirement , he loved spending time with his family , working with his hands , model trains, making home improvements , hosting holiday parties, leather crafting, and washing and waxing his vehicles.

Andrew is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Nancy ( nee Bogardus ) Ha nobeck , son Christopher Hanobeck (Diana) , daughter Melissa Hanobeck (Stephen Jones ) , grandchildren Ryan Linehan , Vincent Hanobeck , and Lila Hanobeck , sisters Maire Thomas (Richard) , Patricia Yulianetti (Michael) , and Theresa Bianco (Anthony) , and many nieces and nephews . He is the son of the late Andrew and Gladys Hanobeck .

Family and friends may call at Nolan Fidale Funeral Home located at 5980 Chichester Avenue in Aston , PA on Monday, May16, 2022 from 10-11:00 am and a Masonic Service will be at 11:15 am followed by his Funeral Service at 11:30am at the Funeral Home .
