She was a life-long learner who loved to read and follow current events. She also loved adventure and w or ld travel.  She enjoyed na ture, hiking, and fit ness.  She was a g ifted artist and photog rapher and treasure d sharing her gifts.  She valued giving of her se lf and s ought opportunities to help others.  She lead her children ' s scou ting and school activ ities , collected school supplies and holid ay gifts for disadvantaged childr en, provided reading literacy support, and prayed the rosary with the inf irmed among other things.

Ann is pre- deceased by her parents, Ma ry and Joseph Heffernen and her first husband , Richard D iPaolo.  She is survived by her hu sband M att Emanuel; her children, Ric k DiPaolo (Peggy) , L isa Willis ( Frank), Amy Rafik (Ahmed) ; her stepchildren Jason Emanuel (Valerie), Sarah Emanuel; her gran dchildren Frank, Cassie, Ricky, Ashley, Jessica , Li la, Zachary, Adam, Aria n na, Sydney, and Abigail; and her sister Mary Bra d ford (Richard).
