Ann Sophia
(Misco) Catone
August 4, 1932 – March 11, 2022
Ann Sophia (Misco) Catone, 89, of Brookaven, PA, was given her angel's wings on March 11, 2022. She was predeceased by the love of her life, Donald D. Catone December 2014 after 63 ½ years of marriage. Ann was also preceded in death by her loving parents, Frank & Congetta(Impagliazzo) Misco, a brother Anthony P. Misco, son-in-law Bohdan Joseph Daciw, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Ann graduated from Notre Dame High School Moylan Class of 1950. She worked at McCrory's in downtown Chester, while in high school, Baldwins in Eddystone, and was a Medical Transcriptionist at Sacred Heart Hospital in Chester, Riddle Hospital, Crozer Hospital, Shore Memorial Hospital and South Philadelphia Radiology and numerous Physicians' offices in the Tri-State area. Ann was also a Booking Agent for bands and musicians for many years and she enjoyed that very much! Ann was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Pittsburgh Steelers; loved to dance, especially with her greatest dance partner, her late husband Don. Ann loved to cook and spending time with her family. Ann loved to play the piano, organ and accordion.
She is survived by her caregivers, daughter Deborah Duffy and son-in-law Robert. Also survived by daughter Michelle Bruno(Frank), son Charles Catone(Linda), son James Catone(Sheila) and brother, Frank Misco Jr.(Rebecca). She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Many beautiful memories were made with her family, friends, and extended family. Ann had a heart of gold and would always want to help others. Her strong devotion to Our Lord and the Catholic Church and her family made her even more beautiful. She will be deeply missed.
Special thanks to family Lisa Thompson and Michelle Thompson Daciw; Janine, Noel, Miriam and Tina from Compassionate Care Hospice, all of whom gave extra loving care to "Mom-Mom". Ann was known as Mom-Mom to her grandchildren and Mom-Mom Mom-Mom to her great-grandchildren.
Services will be private at a future date. In lieu of flowers, her family would appreciate contributions in memory of Ann to Compassionate Care Hospice by check written to Amedisys Foundation 3854 American Way, Suite A Baton Rouge, LA 70816, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or Humane Society of Ocean City New Jersey.
