Armand A. Bruno, Sr. age 94, died peacefully on January 25, 2015. Armand was born and raised in Chester and was a graduate of Chester High School. He was a decorated veteran who proudly served his country in the US Navy during WWII, participating in the Normandy Invasion at Omaha Beach. He was a longtime resident of Brookhaven and Wallingford.
Armand was an original member of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Chester, a member of the Board of Directors with the Columbus Center, Chester and served as a Justice of the Peace in Brookhaven. He retired from GM in Wilmington, DE after 26 years of service and was a licensed real estate agent.
Armand was the husband of the late Ann M. Bruno, the love of his life, with whom he was married for 62 years before her passing in 2008, and was predeceased by 6 siblings.
SURVIVORS: his sons: Frank M. Bruno (Michelle) and Armand A. Bruno (Nancy); sister: Jennie Dignazio; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
VISITATION: Friday morning from 8:30-10:15 at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA. Funeral Mass: Friday at 11am at St. John Chrysostom, 617 S. Providence Road, Wallingford, PA. BURIAL: Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
