Obituary

Barbara L. Antonelli, 73, of Upper Chichester, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 11, 2026.

Raised in Brookhaven, Barbara graduated from Sun Valley High School in 1971. She devoted her professional career to caring for women through her work at Planned Parenthood.

Barb loved spending time at the family vacation home in Lewes, Delaware. Family visits meant long days at Rehoboth Beach, arriving early and settling into the same stretch of sand affectionately known as "our spot." She also enjoyed quieter moments, relaxing on the couch with her favorite electronic puzzle games.

Above all, Barb loved her family and the life she built with her beloved husband, Michael Antonelli.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Guy S. Townsend, Sr. and Doris (Hines) Townsend, and her brothers, Guy S. Townsend, Jr. and Frank Townsend.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Antonelli; her children, Bob Pisani (Jillian), Tara Bare (Chris), and Michael J. Antonelli (Tammie); and her eight grandchildren, Bennett, Ava, Madelyn, Cole, Lucia, Nate, Salvador, and Rosemary.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Avenue, Aston, PA 19014.

Final arrangements will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Barbara's memory to support Alzheimer's disease research. Let's end Alzheimer's.
