Betty Schimansky, age 95, passed away unexpectedly on March 14, 2025. Betty was born in Cannonsburg, PA, before moving to Chester and was a 1947 graduate of Chester High School. Betty was married and moved to Aston where she raised her 3 daughters and has been a longtime resident. Betty was a service representative at the Scott Paper Company for 20 years. She moved to Florida for 10 years before returning to Pennsylvania. She retired to Parkview at Nammans where she had many friends and neighbors that she adored. Betty was an avid and dedicated Philadelphia Phillies and Nascar fan. She was a member of Resurection Episcopal Church, Rockdale. She also enjoyed reading, watching movies, and going to the casino. Betty was predeceased by her parents Michael and Margare Kane Schimansky, and her sister Doris Price and her brother William A. McCue Jr. SURVIVORS: Her 3 daughters, Sandra Ford, Sharon Cross (Tim), and Susan Devonshire, her grandchildren Dawn Abukasis, Michael Mercadante, Timothy Cross, and Ryan Cross, her great grandchildren Simon, Jorden, Devon, Sofia, Gabriela, Natalie, Addison, and Owen. Her sister Margaret McMasters. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. VISITATION: Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 9:30-10:45am at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston. FUNERAL LITURGY: Saturday March 22, 2025 at 11:00am a the funeral home. BURIAL: Private In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Pet Adoption and Lifecare Society at www.palscatrescue.org.
