Carl S. Hoopes, age 81 , a longtime resident of Linwood, died on February 5, 2016. Carl was a 1952 graduate of Eddystone High School and then served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Carl was retired from Exxon-Mobil in Paulsboro, NJ after many years of service. He enjoyed collecting model trains and coins. Carl was also an avid photographer and enjoyed listening to jazz.

He was the son of the late James A. and Delores (Baker) Deery and was the brother of the late William, David, and Tom Deery.

SURVIVORS: Siblings: James A. Deery, Jr. (Pat), Linda Tutlo (Richard) and Sheila Bittle (Delmont) and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friday from 9:30-10:45am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston Funeral Liturgy: Friday at 11:00 am at the funeral home. BURIAL: Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood.
