Carol A. Barksdale, age 64, passed away on October 31, 2017 at the hospice residence in Taylor Hospital. Carol was raised in Lima, PA and graduated from Claymont High School, Class of 1970. Carol had most recently resided in Claymont, Delaware and she was retired from ACE INA Insurance Company.

Carol loved her family and friends; she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandsons and great grandson. She loved traveling to Ocean City, MD, Atlantic City, Lancaster, Disney, and going on cruises. Carol enjoyed watching the Twilight Series and anything that starred Elvis. She also loved to play bingo and crochet.

She was the daughter of the late Lurlen W. and Frances E. Bynum.

SURVIVORS: her husband: Samuel F. Barksdale, Sr.; children: Mary F. Barksdale-Clarke and Samuel F. Barksdale, Jr. (Kimberly); grandsons: Thomas L. Clarke, Joshua R. Barksdale, and Jonathan S. Barksdale; and great grandson: Gavin A. Clarke.

VISITATION: Friday from 6 - 8 pm at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA. FUNERAL SERVICE: Friday at 8 pm at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home. BURIAL: Private.
