Charles H. "Chas" Schmidt, Sr., a longtime resident of Aston died November 9, 2015 surrounded by his loving wife. Charles was born and raised in Ironton , Ohio and proudly served his country with the United States Navy during World War II.

He was employed for many years at Allied Chemical before his retirement. Chas enjoyed fishing, hunting, and sports and was a member of the American Legion. He was also a parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Aston.

He was the husband of the late Verna Jenkins Schmidt.

SURVIVORS: His loving wife and caregiver: Irene Borrillo-Schmidt, Children: Charles Jr. ( Nancy ) and Debra Taddeo (Rich), Step-Children: Dominic Borrillo (Ann) and Mariarose Hurlock (Eric), sisters: Jean Dean and Rosemary Staph, 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Funeral Mass: Friday at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Church , 3255 Concord Road , Aston.
