Charles "Charlie" W. Pinkow, 79, of Glen Mills, Pa., passed away suddenly in the presence of his family on Saturday, October 2, 2021. Charlie was born in Buffalo and raised on Grand Island, NY. He graduated from Riverside High School (Class of 1959). He attended Cornell University and graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He served as an officer in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He was employed 42 years with Rohm & Haas Chemical Company. In his earlier years, yardwork was his passion, as well as coaching sports, and rescuing Irish Wolfhounds. In retirement, he took up the tuba and baritone and was General Manager of the Southampton Community Band.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marion Pinkow, and by his wife, Kathleen Neissel Pinkow.
He is survived by his daughter, Michele Pinkow Lloyd (Kevin), of Aldan, Pa; Christopher Pinkow (Kate), of Garnet Valley, Pa; grandchildren William and James Pinkow. He is survived by his siblings David Pinkow (Louise), of Boulder, Co; and Christine Sipson (Paul), of Grand Island, NY, in addition to a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
