Charlotte (Watkins) Petrone, age 92, a resident of Kennett Square, passed away on June 14, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Charlotte was born and raised in Boothwyn, PA, and was a graduate of Upper Chichester Township High School. She was a student at The University of the Arts in the seventies where she found her passion for oil painting. Later, she worked for 35 years as Controller at the family business, Clipper Pipe & Service Inc. She was a wonderful homemaker, hosting Watkins family picnics by the pool each summer holiday. Her Halloween apple taffies were popular with the neighborhood children, and she took on the role of chef for their lemonade stand at the ninth tee of the Clayton Park Golf Course. She enjoyed traveling, nature, and fishing on the Cape Lady but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandsons. She was the daughter of the late Jesse C. and Emma (McMaster) Watkins, former wife of the late Daniel Petrone (2004), and sister to the late Dorothy, Barbara, and Margaret. Survivors: Her devoted daughters, Sheree Petrone (Bill Jimick) and Cynthia Petrone-Hudock (Michael), and her grandsons, Brad and Christopher Hudock (Tiffani). Visitation: Friday, June 21, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Elam United Methodist Church, 1073 Smithbridge Rd, Glen Mills, PA 19342. Funeral Service: Friday, June 21, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Elam United Methodist Church. Burial: Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA 19061.
