Claire Marie (Reilly) Bergin, age 90, passed away unexpectedly on November 10, 2024, at her home in Villas, New Jersey. Claire was raised in Chester before moving to Wallingford, Pennsylvania at the age of 16. She was a class of 1952 graduate of Notre Dame High School and a graduate of Pierce School of Business. After raising her family in Wallingford, she was a resident for over 20 years in Villas, New Jersey, where she and her husband William of 60 years, retired. Claire was a founding member and longtime parishioner of St. John Chrysostom in Wallingford, PA. She worked at JCPenney in the Granite Run Mall for many years and relocated to the Rio Grande, NJ store. In addition to her family, her greatest joy in life came from playing bingo with her friends, an avid reader, loved to dance, and in earlier years, playing bridge with the "bridge group girls". She also enjoyed many years of fishing and boating with her husband Bill on their boat, The Sarah B. Claire was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anne (nee Hickey) Reilly. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Bergin (2014); daughter, Denise Bergin; son, Thomas Bergin; and her sisters, Jane Fisher and Elizabeth Semeraro and sons-in-law, Timothy Tracy and Dan Volland. Survivors: her children, Michelle Volland, James J. Bergin (Michelle), Diane Moderski (Joe), and Nancy Tracy. Grandchildren, Brian, Michael, Gregory, Thomas, Jennifer, Joseph, Justin, Erin, James, Kelly, Michael, and Megan.
