Obituary

Constance M. Mallon (née Delozier)

With full hearts, our family celebrates the extraordinary life of Constance "Connie" M. Mallon (née Delozier). A proud daughter of Ridley Township, Delaware County, Mom possessed a rare, effortless poise that truly transcended. She was a singular spirit who embraced adventure, fun, and everyday joy, yet carried herself with an unmistakable elegance and natural charm that brightened every room she entered.

She began her journey in Ridley, graduating from Ridley Township High School in the Class of 1956. Always in motion, she threw herself into school clubs and athletics, creating lasting memories and lifelong friendships along the way. That adventurous spirit soon took her to the skies as a flight attendant during American Airlines' golden era.

But her heartbeat was for a family life back home; she found a lifelong partner in her husband, Thomas M. Mallon of Woodlyn. Together, they built a legacy of deep-seated loyalty and unconditional love.

As a mom, she was our fiercest champion and the ultimate "professional volunteer." Mom never did anything halfway, but she did it all with class. From leading a Girl Scout troop to the lunch line at St. Thomas the Apostle School, she brought warmth and encouraging words to everyone. But let us not forget the legendary school bell on the sideline of many a soccer match. Gripping her school bell, she was always poised to ring it with unrestrained joy the second a goal was scored.

Mom brought the same enthusiasm, work ethic, and dependable grace to the professional world. She served as the trusted backbone for busy Allstate Insurance agent John Dougherty and, most proudly, alongside her son Tom. Working with Tom at the front desk wasn't just a job for her; it was a daily source of immense maternal pride.

Yet of all the titles she carried, being "Mom" and "MomMom" was her crowning glory. She poured her boundless energy into the next generation, blending high-energy passion with pure tenderness. You could hear her unmistakable cheers rising above the crowd on the sideline, just as surely as you would find her waiting outside the auditorium doors with armfuls of fresh flowers, ready to shower her granddaughters after their dance recitals. Her grandchildren, DJ, Parker, Ryann, Rebecca, Abbey and Thomas, were the pulse of her world.

Mom is survived by her devoted husband, Thomas M. Mallon of Woodlyn; her daughter, Cynthia "Cindi" Mallon-Sutera and husband Angelo Sutera; her son, Thomas Mallon and wife Diane Mallon; her mother, Arlene Delozier; her brother, Butch Delozier; her cherished grandchildren, DJ Sutera, Parker Sutera, Ryann Sutera, Rebecca Mallon-McClure (husband

Ryan McClure), Thomas Mallon (wife, Ali Mallon) and her most precious great-grandchild, Wyatt Charles Mallon.

She has been lovingly reunited in peace with her father, Delbert Delozier, and her precious granddaughter, Abbey Mallon.

Mom showed us how to live with grit without ever losing grace, and how to love without holding anything back. Every time a bell rings on the sidelines, a bouquet is handed across the stage, or one of our future generation of athletes takes a field, her radiant spirit will be right there with us.
