"Corney" Dacey
October 14, 1928 – April 23, 2016
Cornelius L. "Corney" Dacey, age 87, died April 23, 2016 at his home in Brookhaven. Corney was raised in Marcus Hook and graduated from Eddystone High School in 1948. He resided for many years in Parkside before moving to Brookhaven in 1977. Mr. Dacey proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Corney retired from Sun Oil Co. in 1989 after 40 years of service. Mr. Dacey was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his family at their summer home in Ocean City, NJ.
He was a longtime active member of Aston Presbyterian Church and he belonged to the Concord Masonic Lodge #625 F &AM.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Alice (Bomhoff) Dacey who died in 2010. He was the son of the late Cornelius V. and Hazel (Pyle) Dacey, and brother of the late Jane Allen and Edward Dacey.
SURVIVORS: 2 Children: Nancy L. Dacey and Janis Baldini (Paul); 4 Grandchildren: Louis, Maribeth, Jessica and Andrew Brother-in-law: Jack Bomhoff (Edna) and many neices and nephews.
Visitation: Saturday from 8:30am-10:00am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston PA, 19014. Masonic and Funeral Service: Saturday at 10:00 am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home. Burial: Mount Hope Cemetery, Aston. In lieu of flowers: Donations may be made to Aston Presbyterian Church, 2401 Baldwin Run Dr, Aston, PA 19014 or a charity of the donor's choice.
