Darlene J. Filiaggi, 83, of Wilmington, DE, died January 20th at Forwood Manor Healthcare Facility where she resided. She was born and raised in Morganton, NC. Dottie moved to the area over 60 years ago where she and her late husband, John, shared over 40 years of marriage and raised their family. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother; a beautiful woman who fought a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. Heaven has gained another Angel.

She is survived by two sisters, Avis Williams of Morganton, NC and Rosa Chestnut of Folly Beach, SC, four children, Darlene Evans (John) and Donna Marchiani (Ron) of Wilmington, DE, Debora Filiaggi of Claymont, DE, and Dawn Andrews (Doug) of Marlton, NJ, two grandchildren, Jessica Burns and Brandon Burns (Jonelle) of Wilmington, DE and four great grandchildren, Gianna Marie, Mia Rose, Anthony John, and Gavin Michael.

There will be a visitation Tuesday, January 26, 2016 from 10:30-11:30am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA, followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 11:30am. Interment will follow at Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to The Alzheimer's Disease Research Fund, www.alz.org.
