David T. Shergalis, age 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 7, 2023 at University of Pennsylvania Hospital after a short but valiant battle with NASH. Dave was born and raised in Hazleton, PA. He graduated from MMI High School in Freeland in 1966. Dave earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Widener University in 1973 and earned his CPA in 1976. He has been a resident of Delaware County since 1971. Dave worked for and was partner in Voynow Bayard Certified Public Accounting before opening his own accounting firm Shergalis and Associates in 1992. There were several things that Dave had a passion for: The New York Yankees were at the top of his list, followed closely by Dunkin Donuts medium coffee (just cream), his work and relationships with his clients. Dave was a devoted family man. He was always there to brighten the lives of others. There was nothing Dave liked better then sparking a conversation with any listening ear. He thrived in the exchange of interesting ideas with his family, friends, clients, and colleagues. His smile would light up their day. Dave was a kind and gentle person. His children and grandchildren were the pride and joy of his life. The legacy of his spirit, his passion for sports, and zest for life will live on through them. Dave proudly served his country in the United Stated Navy and was a person of faith and lived his life serving others. He will be greatly missed by all but never forgotten. David was predeceased by his parents Anthony and Leona Ancharski Shergalis.

SURVIVORS: His loving wife Barbara Hentz Shergalis with whom he just celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage. His children Jeffery Shergalis (Grace) and Nancy Dussault (Aaron), his brother William Shergalis(Miki), and his cherished grandchildren Rachelle, Shane, Kassidy, and Kyrsten. VISITATION Thursday evening January 12, 2023 from 6:00-8:00pm and Friday morning January 13, 2023 from 10:00am-11:00am at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston. FUNERAL SERVICE: Friday morning January 13, 2023 at 11:00am at the funeral home.
