David Struss, 76, of Wilmington, Delaware, died peacefully at his home on July 8, 2025. David grew up in Aston, Pennsylvania, the son of John Harry Struss Sr. and Helen Rose Milner Struss. He graduated from Sun Valley High School in 1968 and earned a B.S. in Political Science from Cheyney University.

David worked in retail trade for much of his life, including at Sears in Granite Run. He also worked as a civilian with the Marine Corps in San Diego, California, before returning to the Delaware County area a few years ago.

He is survived by his older brother, John Harry Struss Jr. of Media, Pennsylvania, and two sisters, Linda Lee Montgomery (Jimmy) of Aston, Pennsylvania, and Susan Vincienzo of Paoli, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by his two nieces, Amy Larae Grady (Michael) of Media, Pa and Kara Cimabue (Mike) of Aston, PA., three great nieces and five great nephews.

David was known as a loving, caring, and generous person who would help anyone, anytime, in any way he could. He loved and adored his pet "Yorkies", Molly and Betty.

In accordance with David's wishes, private arrangements will be made for his cremated remains to be placed with his beloved parents at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Aston, Pennsylvania.
