Denise Maria Shaeffer (née Nucifora), of Cochranville, Pennsylvania, passed away suddenly on April 18, 2026.
Born on May 28, 1964 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Denise was the beloved daughter of the late Salvatore and Rosemarie (Forcina) Nucifora. She was the devoted sister of Salvatore Nucifora Jr.
Denise was the cherished wife of Mark Shaeffer, with whom she shared 40 years of marriage filled with love, family, and devotion. She was a proud and loving mother to Mark Shaeffer Jr. (Lauren) and Brittany Braun (Justin), and an adoring mom-mom to Mark Shaeffer III, Evelyn Shaeffer, and Faith Braun.
A graduate of Maria Goretti High School, Denise dedicated her life to her family as a stay-at-home wife and mother. She found her greatest joy in caring for her loved ones and creating a warm and welcoming home. She especially loved talking about her family, reminiscing about cherished memories, and celebrating the moments that brought them all together.
Denise also had a special place in her heart for her three beloved cats, who were a constant source of companionship and comfort.
She will be remembered for her deep love of family, her warmth, and the joy she found in life's simple, meaningful moments.
There will be a visitation for Denise on Saturday, April 25,2026 from 9:30-10:45 am at Assumption of The Blessed Virgin Mary Church 300 State Road West Grove, PA 19390. A Funeral Mass for Denise will be celebrated Saturday, April 25,2026 at 11:00 am at Assumption B.V.M. Church. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Church Cemetery, Kennett Square, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Chester County Hospital Foundation, in support of the Cardiology Department.
Denise will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Her voice and spirit will live on in the stories and memories she cherished most.
