Obituary

Desolina "Dolores" Hearn (née DiCecco), a woman of unwavering faith and boundless love for her family, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, at the age of 93. Surrounded by the family she cherished, Dolores passed away to be reunited with her husband of 68 years, Joseph L. Hearn.

A lifelong resident of Upper Chichester and a proud graduate of the Chichester High School Class of 1949, Dolores was a fixture of the community she loved. Before dedicating herself fully to her family, she was a valued employee at the Delaware County Supply Company. Dolores was proud of her Italian heritage, as was evident in her love and talent in cooking. As a devoted homemaker, she transformed everyday meals into feasts and simple gatherings into lasting memories. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, filled with the aroma of her legendary cooking and the warmth of her hospitality. Dolores' greatest pride was her children. Her selfless sacrifices were a reflection of her unwavering dedication and commitment to their future. She was the steady hand and the guiding light for her family, teaching them by example the values of hard work, generosity, and the importance of showing up for those you love.

Dolores was predeceased by her parents John and Mary DiCecco, brothers Ralph, Anthony and Johnny, beloved sister Jeanne, and son in law Robert Haley. SURVIVORS: her children Mary Jo Kaczenski (Tony), Diana Hearn (Georgia), Denise Haley, and Brian Hearn (Trasi), grandchildren: JJ Kaczenski (Brittany), Ryan Kaczenski (Kelly), Callie Burke (RJ), Hannah Haley, Olivia Sotiropoulos, and Nathan Hearn, great-grandchildren Colton & Mason Burke and Alex Kaczenski. Dolores is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to join in honoring Dolores' life. A public visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at St. John Fisher Church, located at 4225 Chichester Ave, Upper Chichester.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, giving everyone the opportunity to pay tribute to her remarkable life and the love she shared.

Dolores will then be laid to rest at Edgewood Memorial Park in Glen Mills, PA,

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Dolores' name to the Special Olympics of Delaware County, accessible at https://specialolympicspa.org/support/donate-now
