Obituary

Diane Marie Nyce Moccia, of Brookhaven, PA, passed away on December 9, 2016 after a courageous battle.

At her side were her beloved sisters, Debbie Weigand (Charlie Jurman) and Denise Ciancia (Kevin). Diane is also survived by her nieces, Lauren Weigand and Kendall Ciancia, and her nephews, Brian Weigand and Brett Ciancia, who were the joys of her life.

Diane graduated from Sun Valley High School and fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse. She graduated from the Lankenau School of Nursing where she received her RN degree. Diane worked for a few years as an RN at Lankenau Hospital's ICU. Then, Diane was employed for over 30 years at the Wallingford Nursing Home where she became their dedicated Nurse Manager.

Diane had a gift for helping the sick, especially the elderly. Her nickname at Wallingford Nursing Home was "Mother Moccia" because she was not only an excellent nurse but she was always ready to share the great knowledge of nursing with other nurses.

Diane will be missed by her family, friends, and others who have been blessed by having her in their lives.
