Dolores J. Dohoney, 91, of Media passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. Born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania her family moved to West Philadelphia early in her childhood and she attended Notre Dame De Lourdes Catholic School.
Dolores served as a data entry clerk for many years at Bell Telephone, while also balancing her main vocation of caring for her children. She cherished time spent with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid Eagles Fan and enjoyed tailgating and attending games with her family.
Dolores was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church located in Media, Pennsylvania.
She is preceded in death by her parents: James Pierre and Christine (Nutorre) Pierre. Additionally, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, John Patrick Dohoney (2023) and four siblings: Ann Carrow, Catherine Coll, Joseph Pierre, and Teresa Johnston.
Survivors: Children: Deborah Dziena (David), Joanne Sell, Joseph Huff (Kathryn), Kimberly Huff, Robert Dohoney (Kelly), and John Dohoney (Denise), one sister: Judy Pizio, 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 9:45 AM to 10:50 AM at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 2400 N. Providence Road, Media, Pennsylvania, 19063.
Funeral Mass: Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 2400 N. Providence Road, Media, Pennsylvania, 19063.
Burial: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, 1600 Sproul Road, Springfield, Pennsylvania 19064.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Dolores honor to the Alzheimer' Association.
