IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dominick A.
Travaglini
February 17, 1928 – September 27, 2024
Dominick A Travaglini (Trav), age 96, longtime resident of Brookhaven, PA, passed away on September 27th 2024 in Media PA. Trav was born and raised in Chester, PA and graduated from Chester High School in 1946. He served in the Navy for 2 years, learning optics while in the service. He worked at BP Oil Refinery (originally Sinclair Oil), in Marcus Hook PA, for 42 years. During his time at BP, he worked just about every job there was, from starting out in the "yard" to ending his tenure as a Control Room Operator. He was a proud member of the Union and served as a shop steward for many years. On his last day of work, he was both surprised and honored that the head of the refinery took him out to lunch, in recognition of this time at the refinery. Trav took to retirement very well. He became involved with senior groups and learned line dancing. He enjoyed listening to music, especially country, polkas, and swing jazz. He enjoyed taking cruises with his wife and was able to see many parts of the World, from Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Northern Africa, Australia, the Caribbean Islands, Alaska, Western US and the Panama Canal twice. He enjoyed woodworking and spent many hours at his work bench. He was an avid Philadelphia Philles & Eagles fan; watching games gave him comfort in his later years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is the son of the late Frank and Maria Travaglini, brother of the late Rose, Pasquale, Thomas and Mike Travaglini. He is survived by his beloved wife of 72 years, Dorothy (Moseley) Travaglini. His son, Dominick F Travaglini (Marla), daughter, Dorothy T McFadden (Jamie) and 5 grandchildren: Holly, Laura, Gabriel, Mikayla and Kyle, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
