Donald "Don" James DePietro, age 71, passed away peacefully March 21, 2017 at Taylor Hospice Residence with his family by his side. He was raised and educated in Springfield and was a graduate of Springfield High School Class of 1963. Don was a longtime resident of Media and a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in Vietnam. He was proud to work for Amtrak as an engineer and train director, retiring after 20+ years. Don also worked for Meenan Gas & Oil for several years. He was a member of the Bird Club of Delaware County and enjoyed traveling, riding his motorcycle, and smoking BBQ.
He was the son of the late Herman and June (Louderback) DePietro.
SURVIVORS: his wife of 30 years: Petra (Murray) DePietro; sister: Susan Brown; also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
