Obituary
Donald A. Downes, age 82, a lifelong resident of Chester, passed away on June 6, 2017. Donald was retired from Phoenix Steel in Claymont, DE and belonged to their Union. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and a member of VFW Post #1521, Chester.
He was the son of the late Alvin and Marie Downes and brother of the late Edward and David Downes.
SURVIVORS: 3 Brothers: Norman, John, and Dennis Downes; 2 Sisters: Dolores Hilt and Ellie Costalas; caregivers: James Vickers and Lori Wilson; and many nieces and nephews.
