Obituary

Don Fulmer, age 83, longtime resident of Wilmington, Delaware, born in Danville Pennsylvania passed away January 11, 2026 at Jefferson University Hospital.

Owner of Fulmer's garage started in 1975, Don Fulmer was a longtime mechanic around the media and upper providence areas. Servicing all makes and models with a love and passion for Subaru's and old school V8's. Outside of the auto profession Don was a long time member of the Media Men's Bowling League at Sproul Lanes for 30 years as well as a cherished member of the County Corvette Association, Attending car shows on State Street in Media and the Wilmington Blue Rocks minor league baseball team. Moreover, Don was a long time member of the National Hot Rod Association beginning his storied racing legacy at Maple Grove Raceway in 1964 when the track began quarter mile racing. If you couldn't find him at the track he was probably out on the bay of Southern Delaware with family and friends on a pontoon boat enjoying the sand and summer breeze.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Garret Ritter Fulmer and Isabelle (Diehl) .

He is survived by three sons Fred, Kevin, and Craig; several grandchildren Zach, Emily, Mathew, Elizabeth, and Avery; and one loveable barker named Buddy (dog).

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
