Obituary

Donna Edna Stewart (née Rankin), age 86, passed away on July 11, 2026. Donna was raised on a dairy farm in New Bethlehem, PA, and graduated from Redbank Valley High School. She later moved to Norwood, PA, where she raised her family and spent most of her life before recently making her home at Hickman Friends Senior Living Community.

Donna worked as a dispatcher for the Norwood Police Department before continuing her career as a dispatcher with the Philadelphia Suburban Water Company. She was a longtime member of Olivet Presbyterian Church in Prospect Park, PA, where she sang in the church choir.

Donna was an accomplished bowler who participated in numerous bowling leagues throughout the years, earning many awards for her skill and dedication. Above all, she had a passion for gardening. She found great joy in tending her gardens and growing both flowers and vegetables. She loved sharing the vegetables she grew by preparing home-cooked meals for her family. Donna also enjoyed boating trips from Triton Marina in Elkton, MD, where she created many happy memories on the water with family and friends.

She was the daughter of the late Russell and Helen (née Remaley) Rankin; the beloved wife of the late R. Thomas "Tom" Stewart; and the sister of the late Roy Rankin.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Cheryl Ann Hansell-Bates (John), Debra Leigh Mysuna (Greg), and Tammy Suzanne Pfaff (Kevin); her siblings, Judith Lewis (Charles), Emma Jayne Wiant (Larry), and William Paul Rankin; her sister-in-law, Carol Rankin; her grandchildren, Rusty, Jamie Lynn, Michelle, Michael, Jillian, Emily, Sean, and Haley; and her great-grandchildren, Lillie, Ruby, Charlie, Colette, Maxwell, and Wesley.
