Doris M. (Bunce) Thomas, 75, of Folcroft passed away peacefully at her residence of 52 years on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. Born in Chester, Pennsylvania, she was a 1968 graduate of Notre Dame High School. Following her schooling she accepted a position with Philadelphia Electric Company and later in life accepted a position as a secretary for St. Gabriel's School in Norwood, PA, which she held for 26 years. She was also a devoted St. Gabe's church member. She relished in sports within her childhood as she applauded for all Philadelphia teams and most adored bowling and that translated into motherhood as she coached and supported her children as well. She took delight in trips to Long Beach Island, as her happy place became near a shoreline as a child and continued into adulthood. She has enriched the lives of others, and most of all loved spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband James F. Thomas III (1994) and son James B. Thomas (2015). Her twin brother William M. Bunce (2015), Parents: William F. Bunce and Doris (Carter) Bunce, In-Laws: James F. & Elsie Thomas, Sister-in-law & brother-in-law Janice and Daniel LeTourneau, Nephews: Thomas, Michael & Mathew LeTourneau. Survivors: Her beloved daughter: Terri Thomas (Lauren Sipper), sister: Kathy Pedrick (Paul), sister-in-law Sandi Bunce, brother-in-law Dave Thomas (Mary) and one grandchild: Ragna. Along with many nephews and nieces. Visitation: Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, Pennsylvania 19014. Secondary Visitation: Wednesday August 13, 2025, from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at St. Gabriel Church, 233 Mohawk Avenue, Norwood, PA 19074. Funeral Mass: Wednesday August 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Gabriel Church, 233 Mohawk Avenue, Norwood, PA 19074. Interment: Will be private and at the convenience of the family.
