Dorothy N. "Dottie" (Jeandell) Hammond, age 89, of Chester, PA, passed away on January 12, 2017 at the Belvedere Nursing Home. Before her retirement, she worked for the A&P for 27 years and at Sacred Heart Hospital.

She was the wife of the late L. Edward Hammond who died in 1983 after 38 years of marriage. She is survived by son Edward (Debbie) Hammond of Aston, PA, son Dennis (Kathy) Hammond of Wilmington, DE, and daughter Beverly (Bob) Downie of Garnet Valley, PA; her sister Elva Bennett of Millville, DE and brother Charles Lindale of Milford, DE; also survived by six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

VISITATION: Tuesday from 11:00 - 12:15 am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, PA. FUNERAL SERVICE: Tuesday at 12:30 pm at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home Ltd.
