Dorothy "Dot" Mitchell (Barnes), age 96, passed away on December 6, 2019 at Naamans Creek Country Manor in Garnet Valley. Dot was raised in South Philadelphia and was a graduate of St. Monica's Commercial School. She worked for Cardinal O'Hara High School and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church. Dot enjoyed spending time with her dogs.

She was the daughter of the late William J. Barnes and Marie R. White, and wife of the late Charles Mitchell (1967). She was also predeceased by her grandson Brian.

Survivors: her loving children: Bernadette Golden (Pat) and Charles Mitchell (Tina); grandchildren: Jennifer, Matthew, Bernadette, and Leo; and 8 great grandchildren.
