Dorothy Rich (nee. Kozak), age 99, passed away surrounded by her loving family on December 16, 2023 at Naamans Creek Country Manor where she had resided for the past 2 years. She was raised in Chester, PA and was a graduate of Chester High School. Dorothy most recently was a resident of Media and enjoyed vacationing in Wildwood with her family. Dorothy was a devout Catholic and had a particular fondness for the Blessed Mother and reciting the Rosary. She was an active member of St Hedwig's in Chester, PA, serving on the PTA Board, and she was the secretary of the Fatima Sodality. She is the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Kozak, wife of the late Edward Rich, Sr. mother to the late Lisa Waterfield and sister to the late Josephine Cacciatore, Leon Kozak, Frances Tasker, Catherine Kozak, Laura Hubert, Anthony Kozak, John "Reds" Kozak, Genevive Baxter, Alfred Kozak, Edmund Kozak and Rita Dusik. Survivors: Her loving children: Geraldine (James, Sr.) Fedena, Carol (Frank) Koza, Edward (Joan) Rich, Jr., James (Karen) Rich, her son-in-law: Tim Waterfield, her sister: Alice Emerson, her grandchildren: Jim Fedena, Jr., Susan Vance, Jeff Fedena, Mike Koza, Angie Bogardus, Steve Koza, Ed Rich III, Cindy Halem, AJ Rich, Tim Waterfield, Jr., Tom Waterfield, and Jason Waterfield, Samantha Rich, Jimmy Rich, and Damian Rich, her great grandchildren: Sophie and Joey Rich, Carolyn and Jonah Vance, Emily Bogardus, Olivia and Ava Koza, Cheyenne Quintana-Ali, Giovanna, Carly and Nicholas Fedena, Claire Halem, Dorothy is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as her granddog: Boo. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA. In Lieu of Flowers: Donations may be made in Dorothy's memory to a charity of your choosing. St. Hedwig's has asked that anyone attending Mass please come prepared for the cold as the heating in the church will not be operational on the day of the service.
