Obituary

Edmond H. Chedeville "Ed," age 91, a longtime resident of Aston, PA passed away on January 22, 2026. Ed was born in Philadelphia and raised in Havertown, where he graduated from Haverford High School. In 1962, he moved to Aston, PA, where he raised his family with his wife, Joann.

Ed worked for General Electric for 42 years before retiring in 1995. He enjoyed working with his hands and was always busy with carpentry projects, home repairs, or working on cars. He had a lifelong love of motorcycles and was a member of the Perkiomen Chapter of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America since 1986. As a young man, before marriage, Ed enjoyed exploring the United States and Canada, often traveling cross-country on his motorcycle. Ed especially enjoyed his weekly breakfast gatherings at Nudy's with his motorcycle friends, known as the Silver Bullets Saturday Breakfast Club, which he attended for over 40 years. He also collected model trains and enjoyed working with them.

Ed and Joann shared a love of travel and passed that appreciation on to their children. The family spent many summers camping throughout the United States, visiting National Parks, traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive, and exploring the Great American West. Ed also cherished the time spent traveling and being with his family.

He was the son of the late Marcel and Anna Chedeville and the devoted husband of 56 years to the late Joann Chedeville (2018).

He is survived by his children, Renee Pietropolo (Nick), Joe Chedeville (Diane), Annette Coats (Heath), and Lorraine Chedeville; his brother, Bill Chedeville (Jackie); his grandchildren, Nicholas, Rachael, Lauren, Brittany, Alyssa, Kyle (Madelyn), Alicia, and Erin; and his great-grandson, Arlo and one great-granddaughter on the way.
