Mrs. Edna Mae Ewaka, age 77, of Media passed away unexpectedly on December 6, 2017. Prior to her passing, Edna Mae was a faithful member at The Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Chester. Edna Mae would pick up countless children in the area and take them to and from church three times a week. She was truly a local missionary. She was also the church pianist for many years. It was her heart's desire to share Jesus with the world. Family and friends cherished her spunk and tenacity, kind smile, warm inviting hugs, and her ability to "mother" us all. She had a quiet spirit that can put you at ease. Her love for the Lord was evident in the life she lived and finished well.

Edna Mae was born in Delaware County to the late Paul and Edna Baer.

SURVIVORS: Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 57 years: Mr. Philip Michael Ewaka, 3 Children: Susan Sitkowski (Lee); Steve Ewaka (April); and Sharon Curbison (Dan). 4 Grandsons: Andrew Ewaka, Jacob Sitkowski, Blake Curbison, and Brayden Curbison. 3 Granddaughters: Carli Sitkowski, Lauren Ewaka and Kylie Ewaka. Brother-in-Law: David Ewaka, Sister-in-law: Doris Ewaka, Nephews: Matthew Ewaka (April), Craig Ewaka (Cindy), Niece: Jen Holmes (Jim), Longtime Family Friend: Judy McMaster Plus numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Edna Mae's only sibling, Mrs. Lillian (Baer) Ewaka passed away from this life by Edna's side.

Visitation: Saturday 9-10:45am at Chichester Baptist Church, 800 Cherry Tree Rd., Aston, PA. Funeral Service: Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 am at Chichester Baptist Church, officiated by Dr. Joel Winters. Burial: Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood. n Lieu of Flowers: Donations for unexpected expenses can be made out to Philip Ewaka and sent to The Christian Academy In Care Of Philip Ewaka at 4301 Chandler Dr., Brookhaven, PA 19015.
