Obituary

Edward Silverio Giannotti, age 97, a longtime resident of Drexel Hill and Upper Chichester, passed away June 27, 2021 in Bryn Mawr, PA.

He was born and raised in San Francisco, CA, and attended Sacred Heart Catholic High School. Edward worked for IRC and then TRW electronics as a purchasing agent for 38 years until his retirement in 1982.  He worked two other jobs as a beer truck driver for Vince's Beverage, and as a caterer for Norman Fair Catering. He became an avid tennis player in his 40's, his new passion. He loved music and attended Maynard Ferguson concerts with Ree, his wife, and listened daily to the music of Frank Sinatra and others.

He kept busy after his retirement, continuing to play and teach tennis, as well as work at Granite Run Tennis Club until the age of 90. He loved watching Johnny Carson, playing poker with his 'Card Crowd' and pinochle with his children and grandchildren.  He loved doing crosswords, making wine, taking vacations with Ree to Georgia, Florida, California, and even Switzerland. Edward was a Veteran of the United States Army Air Corp who served during WWII and a longtime member of St. John Fisher Church, Boothwyn, PA.

He is the husband of the late Anna Marie "Ree" Giannotti (nee Browne) and the son of the late Albert and Armanda (Roncarati) Giannotti.

His life was centered around his family.  He is survived by his 8 children:  Edward (Wanda), William (Randi), Robert (Dorothy), Annemarie Brewer (James), Mary Killoran (Charles), Maureen Giannotti, Michael (Jody), and Lisa Ladonne (Robert), a sister-in-law, Florence V. Browne, his 21 Grandchildren, and 27 Great Grandchildren.
