Edward W. Melanson, age 74, a long time resident of Aston, died October 30, 2016 at Riddle Village in Media.  Edward was raised in Prospect Park and was a graduate of St. James High School in Chester. He earned a degree in finance from Villanova University. Edward was employed by Provident National Bank in Lima, PA and then worked for the Franklin Mint, retiring in 1993. He enjoyed his Friday night pizza at Cocco's Pizza in Aston. Ed was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Villanova sports fan.

He was the son of the late William and Mabelle (LeBlanc) Melanson.
