Edward John Mistecka, age 75, passed away peacefully at his home in Boothwyn, PA, on January 28, 2025 with his beloved wife Cynde by his side. Eddie was born and raised in Chester, PA, and was a 1969 graduate of Chester High School. When Eddie was 14 he won a trip from his local paper route to the World's Fair in 1964 in New York and took his older brother Tony along to see the Beatles arrive in the United States for the first time. He also attended Woodstock in 1969. Eddie also spent time as a Rescue Diver, helping with rescue and recovery operations. In the 70's Eddie established his own auto mechanic shop named The Buggman, a name that would continue on as a lifelong nickname. Eddie would then begin a career at Chester Upland School District in the Maintenance Department where he would remain for 25 years until his retirement Eddie was a member of US Motorcycle Club in New Jersey from 1976-1978. Then he was one of the original members of the Upland Garage Motorcycle Organization (OGMO) Est 1979-2024. He served as the club president for many of those years. He always remained loyal to his passion of fixing and building vehicles, working on many cars, trikes, and motorcycles over the years. Eddie also enjoyed a love of antique car shows and often attended them with his friends. He also had a 1930 Ford and 1949 Plymouth. Eddie was the son of the late Anthony and Betty Mae Mistecka. Survivors: His Wife: Cynthia Mistecka. Children: Jody Mistecka Robinson, Megan Mistecka-Lucas, Dex Mistecka (Sarah), Lauren Mistecka, and Max Mistecka. Grandchildren: Roland G. Robinson, Dominick J. Robinson, Layla Grace Lucas, Jace Cayn Mistecka, Jaiah Cade Mistecka, Aria Lynn Mistecka, James Matthew Eckman, and Randy Theodore Sowa. Older Brother and Younger Sister: Tony Mistecka (Debby) and Barbara Thomas (John). Visitation: Friday, February 7, 2025, 10:00am-12:30pm at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA 19014.
