Edward L. "Ope" Winfree, age 77 of Concord, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Edward was raised in Chester, PA and graduated from Chester High School in 1956. He worked for Sun Co. for 40 years before retiring in 1996. Edward was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan.

He was the son of the late Fairthorne and Marjorie Winfree.

SURVIVORS: His wife of 50 years Barbara (Fox) Winfree; 2 Daughters: Barbara Fidelibus (Dan) and Deborah Shertzer (Geoff); 2 Granddaughters: Heather and Melissa Fidelibus; 2 Grandsons: John and Joey Shertzer; 2 Great Grandsons: Caleb and Lachlan; Sister: Carolyn Christy; and Brother: Richard Winfree.

VISITATION: Monday from 9:30-10:45 am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Monday at 11:00 am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home.

BURIAL: Mount Hope Cemetery, Aston.
