Edward Eugene Owen, Jr. 74, of Aston passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, June 26, 2026. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and raised in Aston, and was a 1971 graduate of Sun Valley High School. He later moved to Springfield, Pennsylvania after marriage and raised his family there.

Edward honorably served our nation in the Army National Guard and was most recently employed by Norristown State Hospital where he served as a Psychiatric Aide.

Edward was an ardent Philadelphia sports fan, with a particular interest in the Eagles and Phillies. He enjoyed trips to Ocean City New Jersey in his free time and loved a fresh batch of saltwater taffy. He was formerly a member of Union United Methodist Church of Havertown, Pennsylvania.

Above all he cherished time spent with his beloved family.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Edward E. Owen, Sr. and Phyllis D. (Scneider) and his beloved wife Susan (Johnston) Owen who passed in 2021.

Survivors: His son: Edward E. Owen III (Shayna) and one brother: Cory Owen. Additionally, he is survived by his beloved grandson: Nolan.
