Edward Sanderson Ashton, age 54, of Aston , passed away peacefully at home on Saturday June 5,2021. He was raised in Folcroft and Eddystone and was a graduate of Ridley High School Class of 1985 and a member of The Ridley Raider Football Team . He was employed as a manufacturing manager at Zeks Compressed Air Solutions /Ingersoll Rand for 33 years. He was a parishioner of St. Madeline’s Church in Ridley Park. Ed was a volunteer baseball & basketball coach for many years with St. Madeline’s CYO, Aston Athletic Association and Aston Valley Baseball. He was very supportive of any sports program that his sons participated in. Ed was also a passionate fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Eagles. Ed enjoyed traveling to the beaches of Jamaica, Ocean City, MD and North Wildwood, NJ . He loved spending time with family and friends; they meant everything to him. He was a beautiful soul and though he may be gone, the memories of him will forever be in our hearts.
He was the son of the late Edward and Barbara (Hanna) Ashton.
Survivors: Devoted husband of Susan Marie (nee Bruton); Loving father of Edward and Michael; Cherished brother of Barbara Hall (Robert), Darlene Fusco (John), John Ashton (Cindy), Amy Reilly (Tom), and Machelle Graves (Rick).
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation on Saturday, June 12th from 9:00-10:45 am followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00 am at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, PA. Burial: Ss Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield. In Lieu of Flowers: Donations may be made to Main Line Hospice at www.mainlinehealth.org.

Worked with Ed for 15 years and always pleasant. Was the kind of guy that found solutions, not excuses when solving problems. Great guy to work with.
