IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elaine (Duca)
Shull
November 23, 1941 – September 19, 2025
Elaine Shull, age 83, passed away on September 19, 2025. Elaine was born in South Philadelphia, grew up in Folcroft, and later made her home in Aldan, PA, where she raised her family. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School (Moylan) and, in recent years, lived in Glen Mills, PA. A devoted and diligent professional, Elaine spent many years with the Defense Personnel Support Center (DPSC), the place where she met the love of her life, Bernie Shull. After DPSC, Elaine continued her service-oriented career in higher education, working in the Office of the Registrar at Penn State University. Curious, cultured, and always learning, Elaine loved to travel and had a special affection for theater and opera. She was an avid reader who treasured time with her book clubs, and she enjoyed the friendly strategy of mahjong. In the heart of her home, Elaine's greatest joy was cooking, a way she showed love, welcomed guests, and brought family together around the table. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Cornelius Church in Chadds Ford. Elaine was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary, and the wife to the late Bernie Shull. Survivors: Her loving children, Karen (Will) and Phil (Marie); her sister, Lucille; and her step-grandchildren, whom she cherished as her own: Siobhan, David, and Kevin. Visitation: Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 9:15a - 10:15a at St. Cornelius Church, 160 Ridge Rd, Chadds Ford, PA 19317. Funeral Mass: Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 10:30a at St. Cornelius Church. Burial: Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA 19064.
