"Betty" Thompson
October 18, 1933 – January 21, 2022
Elizabeth R. "Betty" Thompson (NEE Ennis), age 88, died January 21, 2022 at CCMC. Raised in Chester, Betty attended St. Michael's Parochial School and was a 1951 graduate of Notre Dame Girl's High School in Moylan. Betty has lived in Middletown Twp for the past 50 years. She worked for Whitman Chocolates and in retail sales before she retired. Betty was a world traveler, there are not many places she hasn't visited. She enjoyed going on cruises, and vacations to Hawaii were her favorite. Betty especially loved her family and the time she spent caring for her grandchildren when they were young. Betty was also an auxiliary member of the American Legion Post 87 and a longtime member of St. Francis De Sales Church, Lenni.
Betty was the daughter of the late Joseph Ennis and Elizabeth Matthews Ennis and the mother of the late Lisa Foust (2010). SURVIVORS: Her beloved husband of 62 years Clement Thompson, her son Brian Thompson (Barbara Cannoe), her brother Joseph Ennis and her sister Joan Flacco. Betty is also survived by her loving grandchildren: Ryan and Shane and great granddaughter Abbi.
VISITATION: Friday January 28, 2022 from 10-10:45am at St Francis De Sales Church, 35 New Road, Aston, PA 19014.
FUNERAL MASS: will follow at 11:00am at the church.
BURIAL: Mount Hope Cemetery, Aston.
In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital at www.stjude.org.
