Betty Ploskon, age 99, passed away on April 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Betty was raised in Ebensburg, PA, and was a proud graduate of Cambria High School, Class of 1943. At the age of 18, she moved to Chester, PA, to work alongside her sisters and begin the next chapter of her life. Over the years, she called many places home-including Trainer, Aston, Royersford, and finally Pottstown, PA. At the age of 18 she worked in the shipyard as a welder in Chester, PA and later served as a machine operator at Tedeco in Glenolden, PA, where she eventually retired after many years of dedicated service. Betty was a woman of many passions. She loved dancing at the Redwood in Upland with her sisters and was especially known for her crocheted afghans, card games, gardening, cooking, and playing board games with family. She was also a devoted volunteer and parishioner at Resurrection of Our Lord Church in Chester, PA. She is the daughter of the late Martin and Maryanna (née Skiba) Koval, beloved wife of the late John G. Ploskon (1987), and sister to the late Felix, Toefil, Joe Koval, Caroline Phillips, Wanda Trynovich, Jean Palmer, and Vi Porter. She was also predeceased by her granddaughter, Kristy Capasso, and great-grandson, Kyle Radewonuk. Survivors: Her three loving daughters, Loretta Radewonuk (Richard), Denise Roach, and Eileen Capasso (Tony); her grandchildren, Amy Clark, Eric Radewonuk (Diane), Laren Melenski (Edward), Jana Radewonuk (Chris Gable), Rachel Ladd (Charles), Len Potts, Jason Potts (Dana), Meredith Giordano (Al), Kevin Capasso (Kristen), and Jessica Capasso; as well as 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. Visitation: Friday, April 11, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 430 Valleybrook Rd, Glen Mills, PA 19342. Funeral Mass: Friday, April 11, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Burial: Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, PA.
