Elizabeth Louise Phillips, affectionately known as "Granny", 94, of Chester, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, September 18, 2025. She was born in Windber Pa. on November 15, 1930, and was one of twelve children.

She was a graduate of Windber high school.

Elizabeth was a devoted wife, loving mother and exceptional "Granny". She cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. For many years family would gather every Sunday at Granny's for homemade pasta dinner. She enjoyed reading, trips to the shore, and her monthly outings with her daughter Becky that included lunch, hair appointments and shopping.

She was a devout Catholic, and although her health declined in later years, she never missed an opportunity to watch mass from her home.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Dominico Rizzo and Verna Catherine (Cunsolo) Rizzo, her beloved husband: Alfred N. Phillips, Sr. (1978) and siblings: Infant brother Joseph Rizzo, Anthony Rizzo, Frank Rizzo, Jimmy Rizzo, Richard Rizzo, Eva Lapinski, and Josephine Koshute.

Survived by her Children; Rebecca Saunders (Wayne), Alfred N. Phillips, Jr. (Carol), Brian Phillips, Sr. (Beverly), Gregory Phillips (Antoinette), and Timothy Phillips (Lina). Siblings: Raymond Rizzo, Robert Rizzo, Eleanor Maffeo-Snell, Carol Papinchak, 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Visitation: Friday, September 26, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at St. John Fisher Church, 4225 Chichester Ave, Boothwyn, Pennsylvania, 19061.

Funeral Mass: Friday, September 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. John Fisher Church, 4225 Chichester Ave, Boothwyn, Pennsylvania 19061.

Burial: Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, Pennsylvania 19061.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Elizabeth's honor to either the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association .
