Emma "Diane" Porter, age 72, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at her home. Born in Upland, PA, she was the daughter of the late William Cannon and Mary Roux.

Diane devoted her life to her family and her beloved husband, Edward, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage. She had a heart for caring for others and spent much of her life putting the needs of those she loved before her own. She lovingly raised her two nieces, Darlene and Debbie, as though they were her own daughters, and cared for her sister Cathy prior to her passing.

Taking care of others was always Diane's passion, which made her many years working in a nursing home a perfect fit. She found great fulfillment in helping others and making those around her feel cared for.

Diane enjoyed taking rides to Lancaster, especially stopping at the different Amish stands along the way. She cherished time spent with her friends and family and especially loved being with her grandchildren. She took great joy in buying them the different gadgets they asked for and seeing their happiness.

Diane was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward "Ed" Porter, after 55 years of marriage, and her sisters, Cathy, Helen, and Doris.

She leaves behind her nieces, whom she raised as daughters, Darlene Pearson (Jason) and Debbie Hansen (Bill); and her beloved grandchildren, Jaylyn Pearson, Jason Pearson Jr., RJ Johnson, Gabby Johnson, and Lucas Hansen.

Diane will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family will remain in their hearts forever.

The family will be planning a private event to celebrate Diane's life.
