Eugene "Jim" A. Vershinski, age 87, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2017 at his home in Media. He was born in Mt. Carmel, PA and moved to Chester, PA as a child. Jim was a graduate of St. James Boys High School, Friends Central School, and the University of Pennsylvania. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War. Early in his career, Jim worked for Penn Steel Castings, and later retiring from the LaFrance Corp. Jim was inducted in to the Delaware County Athletics Hall of Fame in 1987 for bowling. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Aston.
He was the son of the late Joseph and Dorothy A. Vershinski.
SURVIVORS: his loving wife: Kathleen "Kay" (Webbert) Vershinski; children: Kathy (Leo) Oberto, Lisa (Steven) Weidner, Jeanne Vershinski, and James (Jennifer) Vershinski; grandchildren: Joshua and Jacob Vershinski, and Peter and Charles Weidner; granddogs: Teddy, Lupin, Cody, and Tyko.
