Eugene S. Rivers, age 90, a longtime resident of Aston, died July 25, 2017. Gene was a retired and decorated U.S. Army Veteran who served his country for more than 25 years including tours of duty during WWII, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam Era. Gene also retired from Verizon after 25 years of service as a switchman. He enjoyed building balsa wood model airplanes, tinkering in his garage, doing puzzles, reading and traveling.

He was the son of the late Stuart and Shirley (Moll) Rivers, father of the late Stewart E. Rivers, and brother of the late Allen Baumann, and Stanley and Mickey Rivers.

SURVIVORS: His wife of 60 years: Edda Rosemarie (Henn) Rivers; his 2 daughters: Diana Bihoreau (Stephan) and Debra Rivers; his beloved grandson: Christopher Andruschkevich; his sister: Shirley Weldon; and his brother: Bev Rivers.

VISITATION: Monday, July 31, 2017 from 10:30 - 11:30 am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA. EULOGY: Monday at 11:30 am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home.
