IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Eunice Sill
Porter
January 12, 1927 – March 3, 2021
Eunice Sill Porter, age 94, passed away March 3, 2021 surrounded by her loving family at her home in Boothwyn, PA.
Eunice was raised in the Gardendale section of Boothwyn. Family was everything to Eunice and she spent most of her life making their home a better place to live when she was not working as a waitress. She was a former member of Holy Saviour Church in Linwood, PA.
She married the love of her life, Bob Porter, in 1947 and raised her their two children in Linwood. She was an excellent cook and loved to make one-pot meals like stuffed cabbage and beef stew. Her mashed potatoes were creamy with zero lumps, a fact she took great pride in. Her rice pudding had no equal. She loved movies and musicals and would regale her grandchildren with stories of selling rags to the rag-man in Gardendale to earn a dime for the movie and a nickel for candy. She enjoyed going to the casino with her husband and friends over the years to play the nickel and quarter slot machines. Jackpot Party was her favorite. Eunice was the kindest person her family knew and would often say that she had to be nice because the word was right there in her name. Eunice unconditionally loved her family and the world is a little less bright without her in it.
She was the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Baker) Sill, wife of the late Robert E. Porter, grandmother of the late Raymond E. Porter, Jr. and his late mother Jeanne, and sister of the late Frank Sill, Jr., William Sill, James Sill, and Margaret Gargano.
She is survived by her 2 Children: Raymond E. Porter and Joan and Jim Gaspero, with whom she lived; 3 Grandchildren: James (Sarah), Robert, (Lindsey) and Desirae (Joe); 9 Great Grandchildren: Autumn, Charlotte, Chase, Castiel, Kiptyn, Cooper, Parker, Delaney, and Penelope; her half-sister Madeline Dziobczynski; as well as her wonderful and loving caregiver, Anisah McIntyre.
A special thanks to Heartland Hospice and her nurse, Michelle.
Funeral Service and Burial: Private at the convenience of the family.
